Wanna Go Back In Time
Posted 5th Aug 2007 @ 10.04 by GenSTEPS

Cringe, cringe, cringe. Just when we thought Lisa Scott-Lee had regained a bit of dignity, another bombshell is dropped.

Following the embarrasment of Totally Scott-Lee, Lisa worked hard for months to re-establish a little credibility by performing like a real star on 'Dancing On Ice', and remaining realistic and dignified by releasing her brilliant album without an unnecessary putsch of publicity.

But now, Lisa and deluded bandmate Ian Watkins have attended a 'Meet The Stars' session, hoping to charge fans £290 each for a photo and autograph.

Unsurprisingly the stampede of fans never arrived, and after reducing their fee to £15 a pop, Lisa signed 8 autographs and disappeared. The spectacularly embarrasing event proved that Lisa and H are less popular than the Cheeky Girls.

We despair.

So, what next for Lisa Scott-Lee? We think she should go on 'Celebrity Big Brother' and shout racist retorts at other housemates. It's as useful as this 'Meet the stars' event if she wants to keep herself in the public eye but doesn't care about how she's perceived.

She looks hot though doesn't she. Stunning in fact.

Lisa's debut album is out now, and you can buy it online from the Apple iTunes store.

If you've only got time to download one track, we recommend Rush. It's crisp, sexy, pop-rock at its best, and plays beautifully as the end of this 'chapter'.

Unleashed at last
Posted 14th Jun 2007 @ 23.15 by GenSTEPS

It's less than a week until Lisa Scott-Lee actually, definitely, not-going-to-get-pulled-this-time-absolutely releases her debut album in the UK.

The 13 track album, Never Or Now, has already had a physical release in South Africa and now hits the virtual shelves on all top music download sites on the 18th of June.

UK fans who haven't already downloaded the whole thing illegally can purchase it from a number of sites. We'll be providing direct download links on release day, until then check out our Concept Approved Audio Sampler.

In preparation for release, we ask all Lisa's fans - even those who have downloaded the album already - to buy at least one track from official stores, and make that track Rush because it's fantastic.

Lisa Back In The Studio
Posted 27th May 2007 @ 22.54 by GenSTEPS

Lisa has been back in the studio, and has recorded a new dance track called 24/7. The track is a dance collaboration - possibly with Angel City - and is described as a 'Ministry Of Sound' style song.

The news was broken exclusively on our forums, because Lisa's webmaster is banning people from discussing the song on her official site!

Album news!

As you may have gathered if there's anybody left that actually checks Lisa's official site for news, 'Never Or Now' gets a UK download-only release on the 18th of June.

Lisa's official webmaster is offering fans pricey ringtone downloads for their mobile phones. You can choose any track from the album, and the list is as follows;

Lately
Too Far Gone
Electric
Back In Time
Obscenely Delicious
Boy On The Dance Floor
Give You My Love
Make It Last Forever
Sleazy
I'll Wait For You
No Good For Me
Rush
Never Or Now

So it looks like there's no UK bonus tracks. Pity.

It's A Boy!

Congratulations to Claire Richards, who gave birth on Tuesday morning to her son Charlie.

Proud mother Claire told fans, "He took his time comng into the world, but now he's here I can't believe I was without him for so long!"

We note that "Charlie" is an anagram of "H" and "Claire". We wonder if that's intentional. (Well it's better than naming him Ian!)

Happy Birthday
Posted 8th May 2007 @ 21.37 by GenSTEPS

Two reasons to celebrate; today is Ian's birthday! Best wishes from all at the Generation Network. And yesterday marked ten years since STEPS were first formed. They've really flown by haven't they!

To our readers
Posted 26th Apr 2007 @ 16.24 by GenSTEPS

We would like to reassure our readers that our Lisa Scott-Lee album sampler is above board. We have repeatedly stated that we have not broken copyright laws, and stand by this statement. The album sampler is approved by Concept Records. We have had direct correspondance with Concept who have approved the album sampler.

Accusing Generation STEPS of breaking the law by hosting an album sampler is libel, and any webmasters who still insist we're breaking the law can tell it to our legal team.

Never Or Now

Rumour has it that the tracklisting for the digital release is being quickly reworked, after Lisa's family saw the negative response to the leaked tracklisting over on Lisa's official site.

Never Or Now
Posted 20th Feb 2007 @ 17.48 by GenSTEPS

Lisa Scott-Lee's album tracklisting could have been revealed by Concept, amid speculation on the world's favourite pop message board, Popjustice.

The tracklisting, which has stirred up controversy, is billed as following in an e-mail from Concept;

1. Lately
2. Too Far Gone
3. Electric
4. Back In Time
5. Obscenely Delicious
6. Boy On The Dance Floor
7. Give You My Love
8. Make It Last Forever*
9. Sleazy
10. I’ll Wait For You
11. You’re No Good For Me
12. Rush
13. Never Or Now

The tracklisting appears to be legitimate, since fans already know the album has 13 tracks. Fans have expressed shock at the lack of new material, considering 10 of the 13 tracks have been available for download (albeit some illegally) for many years, and only three tracks (11, 12 and 13) are new.

However, there is still some question over the validity of this tracklisting. Notable is the inclusion of "Give You My Love", which the songwriter told us Lisa was no longer using. Secondly is the inclusion of Electric b-side "Make It Last Forever"; why include a b-side which Lisa only sings half of?

Finally is the omission of 'No Other Day', a soft new ballad recorded by Lisa during 'Totally Scott-Lee'; a beautiful, emotional song which we were told would be on the album.

So is this Lisa's tracklisting? Discuss!
