Lisa Scott-Lee Biography
Stepping out
Lisa Scott-Lee has grown up, well, that's according to her official website! Lisa didn't rest on her laurels after the Steps split, and signed a record deal with Mercury Records on her birthday, the 5th of November 2002. Lisa's debut single as a solo postrel was disco belter 'Lately', and showed Lisa strutting her stuff alone. The public was inspired, and Lisa entered the charts at 6.
Sadly things took a turn for the worse when Lisa's second solo single narrowly missed the top 10, entering at 11, and then - as H&Claire had before her - Lisa disappeared.
Finally news emerged, and fans discovered Lisa had 'parted ways' with record label Mercury due to disappointing sales. Fans were distraught, since Lisa had recorded an album with the label - the infamous 'Unleashed' - and they were concerned they would never get to hear Lisa's album of sheer pop genious.
The next step
Lisa tried a new approach to conquer the charts, and joined dance act 'Intenso Project' for a collaboration. Signed to the Ministry Of Sound, the group released dance record 'Get It On', but this failed to excite the charts and only reached 23. Lisa cried.
A bright future
Things finally looked up for Lisa when she signed a deal to have her own reality TV show, which we know fondly know as 'Totally Scott-Lee'. The MTV cameras followed Lisa's life for several months as she recovered from the Intenso Project to release her new single 'Electric', signed to the Concept label.
The single charted at 13, and Concept have stood by Lisa, with plans to release her album and music in other territories.
